Sebastian’s nursery is a sock monkey theme so his grandma crocheted him this special hat, monkey and blanket which I thought was adorable!

I also have to give special props for those who specialize in newborn photography.. posing and waiting for a newborn to fall asleep is hard! I still think we got some adorable shots!

Congratulations Autumn & Christian. I know he will bring you so much joy!

So I can’t really share some of my favorite shots, which is why I did the session,  a group of photographers and I are coming up with a fun blog which we will share very soon! Lots of fun concepts!

I also love Audrey! She has modeled for my before, and she is the sweetest girl! So willing to do anything I ask and I LOVE her blue eyes! So gorgeous.

We found this sweet little gem of a location down the road from my house and to my suprise there were tons of bluebells. Score! Love these wildflowers so much.

Tia loves to play the piano, and loves all her siblings. We even got some shots of each of her siblings during her session. It was such a beautiful Spring day at the Battlefield.

She just has the sweetest and kindest spirit and she is super pretty and smart as well, with a great sense of style. She is the Governors school and excels at her studies.. I can tell she will be one successful lady some day!

We headed down to Old Town Fredericksburg, close to where she lives. We found so many great spots and Carmen also took me to her favorite little coffee shop, Hyperion.. and out to lunch after at Bravo. It was such a fun day!

Little did we know it would also be chilly in FL that week as well.. low 60′s but we weren’t complaining.. when we heard it snowed in VA!

We had a great time, we visited Tampa, St. Pete’s, Anna Maria Island and Clearwater beach. It was nice the last couple of days and we were able to soak up the sunshine.

One of our last nights, we headed over to Pine Island.. they have amazing sunsets! It’s so peaceful to run around with the seagulls, my husband and I had fun taking silly pictures of us chasing them, jumping, and making hearts with the sunset in the background.

Someday I would love to move to FL.I’m still trying to talk my husband into it! I just love the feeling of perfect, sunny days with the sand in between my toes. I’m not much of a cold weather kind of girl! I grew up in California after all! Although I have to admit, even when other places sound so wonderful it was kind of nice to be home around the familiar. Maybe I’m just too much of a dreamer.

I am super happy for them as they have tried for years and years to conceive, countless IVF’s later they finally have a little boy, Sebastian on the way.. due April 17th! I always love seeing a couple that never gives up and finally their prayers are answered!

We originally were going to do their session in D.C but with rain, rescheduling and races in D.C I finally thought of Glen Echo Park in Md.. I love this park.. it used to be an old Amusement park in the 60′s and it’s just a hidden gem. I love shooting there! The  fun , bright colors worked perfectly for our sock monkey theme! That is going to be the theme of their nursery so we thought we would include it in the session. I love it!

Autumn is super beautiful and so photogentic and her husband.. well he is a ham! I had to include the fun outtakes because, well it’s so Chris!

We headed down to Old Town Manassas for her shoot. One of my favorite spots for urban senior photography! She braved the chilly 40 degrees and wind.

Also big thanks to my daughter who did Cristina’s makeup. She usually never wears any, she’s a natural beauty! But it doesn’t hurt to help those gorgeous eyes shine through. It’s really cool to be able able to work together on shoots.

Good luck in the future Christina! She also studies Cosmotology with my daughter and plans on going to college for her business degree. I am sure you will be very successful!

I’ve only photographed a handful of babies, and am pretty new to them, and they can be challenging! I always go in with great ideas on how to pose them, but sometimes they are just  not in the mood to be photographed, and that’s ok, sometimes you just have to have a lot of patience till they do fall asleep and sometimes I just go with the flow

Poor Abigail wasn’t feeling super well, and didn’t like being undressed.. but she was a little trooper and we managed to get some super cute shots.

You might recognize the heart shaped rug from one of my last sessions. Since she was a February baby AND born on my birthday I coudn’t resist doing the Love theme on a few with some adorable angel wings.. courtesy of Etsy.com.

Welcome to the world little Abigail!

What we didn’t know was that the weekend we picked, NYC predicted a blizzard. A few people ( mom) thought we were crazy for going, but we went anyway. We weren’t going to let a little snow, and some very wet, soggy socks and boots keep us from having fun.. and having fun we did! At one point, I actually thought it was a good idea to put my feet in a NYC bathroom dryer.. even with strange looks. That first day I literally thought I cannot walk in this cold. I might freeze to death.

Since Sarah, Tina, Michelle and I have all done the touristy NYC things, we decided to do some off the beaten path things, like try all the best food places and umm bakeries. I think we hit one twice at least. Magnolia bakery is the best in NYC for lemon bars and meringues!

We also hit some fun shops, flirted with the waiter with the amazing British accent, had way to much wine that night and got to meet up with my cousin, so fun!  Walked through Central park in the blizzard. So breathtaking. Tried Momofuku noodles (thanks Kelly Purkey!) Decided we weren’t fans of Milkbar unless you like the taste of milk at the bottom of your cereal bowl. Tried to find the Brooklyn Flea ( to no avail), took the ferry over to Brooklyn for the best brunch at Egg and just enjoyed each other’s comapany. I have to say there is just nothing like good friends, and a good girl’s weekend away.

We definately made some fun memories. If you follow me on Instagram there are some fun pictures there. I mostly got some cool landscapes with my Nikon.

I can’t wait for Sarah and Tina’s 40th!
