Sometimes in the middle of it all, it’s just nice to get away. Since I grew up in Southern California it’s always nice to go back, there’s always a little piece of your heart where you grew up. There’s always familiar reminders of things I once loved, like the trips we did to Palm Springs when I was a child. I was also able to see the house I grew up in. I could still remember my dad with a hose in his hand watering the grass. It was nice day remembering him.
I love driving into Palm Springs and seeing all the Windmills as I call them. 🙂 Oh and the dinousaur. It’s just one of those fun tourist traps you need to stop at.
Thanks to my childhood friend, Michelle, who we had such a fun day with, lunch, shopping, the design district and visiting all the fun 60’s inspired hotels. The Parker was my favorite. I plan to stay here if we go back! 😉 It was nice soaking up the 90 degree sunshine! We could have lounged in the Hammocks all day…
So long desert.. we were on to Laguna Beach. It was awesome spending time with my mom, brother and his wife Nicky.. and my niece and new nephew. It didn’t hurt either that they got us a condo right across from this beach view at Heisler Park! One day we just sat in the sun for hours and just took the beautiful view in!
I love Laguna. Love all the Art, cute boutiques and great restaurants.
Until next time California!
