When we got married, my husband and I agreed we would plan a special getaway commemorating every year we were married. We joke that the first year we went BIG, to Costa Rica.. unfortunatly not every year can be that expensive, but nevertheless it can still be special! It’s always nice to get time away to remember why you fell in love!
We picked the Tides Inn this year since we wanted somewhere quiet and relaxing, and we both love small coastal towns. It was so quaint, and quiet. Just what we needed for a couple days away. I really recommend the Tides Inn for a relaxing getaway with plenty activities, like boating, kayaking and crabbing. Not to mention the food is amazing! I loved their Banana Foster’s waffles, the Lancaster Lemonade, and the amazing fish and chips and filet mignon dinner.
We took a boat cruise around Carter’s Creek the first day, and then spent the afternoon at The Dog and Oyster Vineyard. I loved this winery! It was so cute and the Rose is amazing! We also tried raw and roasted oysters. Not a huge fan of raw, but the roasted oysters were so good! I loved the dogs that roam around the property guarding the grapes. We loved all the oysters laying on the tables too, so you could draw a little keepsake to leave at the winery saying you were there!
We ended the evening with a fabulous dinner overlooking the bay. We had it all to ourselves. It was very romantic and worth the price!
The next day we planned to kayak, lay by the pool and bike, but it rained all day, so I got a massage and then we had lunch at an amazing little spot in town for more oysters and fish tacos. It was an amazing weekend we won’t forget. Some day we will have to go back!
Beautiful photos!! Happy 5 years!! You guys are so awesome! ❤️
