Whenever my mind wanders to where I eventually want to live, it always involves Coastal Living. I always feel the most at peace by the ocean, feeling the sunshine on me, so once in awhile I will get a random thought to just jump in my car and take a quick trip to the beach. This trip was a quick 24 hours to Duck, NC. I had only been to Nags Head and Hatteras, so I thought why not visit Duck and Corrolla? I found a great deal to the Sanderling Resort, in high Season it’s easily $400 a night! It was a great little getaway for my daughter and I. We loved our room and relaxing at the hotel! The amenities are great.. we loved the complimentary smores kit and sitting outside by the fire at night, chatting with the new people we had just met. So relaxing! We enjoyed a few hours the first day on the beach and by the pool and did a little shopping in the evening. The next day I wanted to see the lighthouse and Whalehead Museum in Corrolla. Worth the short drive to see the beautiful views! I wished we could have stayed longer and seen the wild horses on the beach, but it was definately what I needed even if it was quick! One of these days when the kids are all gone, we plan on making our dream of Coastal Living a reality.
